POSITION OBJECTIVES

The Credit and Collections Manager will lead the credit and collection's function, ensuring healthy cash flow and strong client relationships through effective credit policies and proactive collection strategies. This is a highly strategic role requiring a balance of operational control, customer sensitivity, and SAP system integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the credit and collections process for over 500 active customer accounts, including both key accounts and route-based clients.

· Supervise and support a team of 3 route collectors to ensure efficient, on-time collections.

· Assess credit risk, set credit limits, and approve terms in coordination with the finance team.

· Monitor accounts receivable aging and implement actions to reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).

· Lead the integration and optimization of SAP processes related to accounts receivable and credit management.

· Negotiate payment plans or resolutions with clients as needed, using tact and strong relationship-building skills.

· Provide regular reporting and analysis to the Deputy Finance Director regarding collection performance and credit exposure.

· Collaborate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to maintain alignment between credit policies and business goals.

POSITION REQUIEREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, administration or related field (required).

· Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the food, retail distribution or commercial industry, preferably in meat processing.

· Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

· English advanced
