BASIC FUNCTION
The Sr. Systems Project Leader is responsible for leading projects related to the development of our Global Sourcing Application portfolio and processes to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and create new opportunities to assist in the achievement of business goals. This role requires a mixture of Procurement subject matter expertise, technical development, and project management to successfully deliver business solutions and drive Sourcing best practices throughout the suite of Kohler businesses globally.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
This role works cross-functionally with multiple areas such as Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, IT, and with Sourcing teams around the world to plan and deliver projects ensuring deliverables are completed in a timely fashion, within budget, and achieve expected benefits to the company. Success in this role requires the following:
Project Management
Collaboration
Ø Build positive relationships with business teams and corporate function partners.
Ø Assist business teams and corporate functions by filling gaps with functional knowledge and
procurement expertise.
Ø Work creatively and analytically in a team-focused, problem-solving environment.

Ø Conduct business process reviews to continually enhance the efficiency of procurement processes, systems, and overall stakeholder experience.

Training and Education
Ø Develop and deploy appropriate training needed to drive proper adoption of processes and systems.
Analytics, Metrics and Monitoring
Ø Ensure success metrics are in place and monitored for continuous improvement opportunities.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Business Acumen
Business acumen focuses on two general areas, general business knowledge and specific industry knowledge. It is important to understand both to be successful. This role needs to understand the various moving parts and roles within our business, as well as the industries and regions in which we operate, including the conventional vs unconventional channels used to get things done.
Problem Solving
Problem solving is best done by assembling the right people, defining the problem, considering alternatives and perspectives, and working out a clear and effective solution.
Process Management
Process management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, techniques, and systems to define, streamline, measure, control and improve business functions and outcomes.
Organizational Agility
Organizations are complex and have both formal and informal structures. Understanding the roles played in corporate America is key: gatekeepers, expediters, stoppers, resisters, guides, good Samaritans, and influencers. Understanding how to move through this maze quickly and with minimal noise will impact success.
Standing Alone
Standing alone involves being comfortable being an individual champion with topics or controls that may be unpopular. This requires confidence to deal with the inherent conflict, listening empathetically to concerns without sacrificing the integrity of the program.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships
Ø Reports to the Sr Manager - Sourcing Applications
Organization Relationships
Ø Frequent contact with corporate departments, global business units, procurement teams and Strategic Sourcing Council.
External Business Relationships
Ø Contact with external suppliers.
