CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives across the United States that provides grain, food and energy resources to businesses and consumers around the world. We serve agriculture customers and consumers across the United States and around the world. Most of our 10,000 employees are in the United States, but today we have employees in 19 countries. At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.

Summary

CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity in our Global Grain & Processing business unit located in Guadalajara, Mexico. We are looking for a Trade Execution & Logistics Coordinator to support the export of agricultural commodities with a primary focus on rail execution. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to navigate both operational and customer-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary execution contact for rail shipments of agricultural commodities (corn, soybeans, grain by-products) from the U.S. to Mexico, ensuring timely and accurate coordination from origin to destination.
  • Support vessel execution as needed, particularly when coordinating downstream logistics or aligning vessel discharge with delivery timing.
  • Coordinate with CHS internal teams, freight providers, customs brokers, and third parties to ensure smooth documentation and delivery of rail shipments.
  • Track and report on railcar movements, border crossings, and customs clearance using CHS systems and third-party tools.
  • Support and monitor CHS's warehouse program in Mexico, working with partners and local contractors to ensure proper inventory control, documentation flow, and alignment with customer contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of rail shipments and warehouse inventory, helping support reconciliation and customer service inquiries.
  • Ensure contracts and shipment documents are issued accurately and align with CHS and customer requirements.
  • Provide status updates and problem-solve logistics issues (e.g., delays, demurrage risks, documentation discrepancies) in real time.
  • Collaborate with the Mexico commercial team and U.S.-based execution/logistics teams to align on planning, priorities, and customer service expectations.
  • Identify and support process improvement opportunities in execution and warehouse coordination.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, trade execution, or international transportation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of NAEGA, GAFTA, or ANEC trade terms and international grain documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with rail, ocean, and intermodal transport, especially involving U.S. to Mexico trade.
  • Experience working with customs brokers or international compliance teams.
