Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety/Health/Environment (SHE) Control Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing plant in Mexico. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations, developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility.

The successful candidate will be a key contributor to maintaining a safe working environment, reducing risk, and supporting sustainable environmental practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the plant's safety, health, and environmental (SHE) management systems in compliance with local, national, and international standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver SHE training programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics; identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate EHS requirements into process design and operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and chemical handling.
• Manage documentation and permits required by Mexican environmental and labor authorities (e.g., SEMARNAT, STPS, PROFEPA).
• Serve as the point of contact for external regulatory agencies and auditors.
• Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.
