Controls Engineer
Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join our integration team in Apodaca, NL. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, programming, and troubleshooting control systems for industrial automation projects. You will work closely with project managers, electrical designers, and field technicians to deliver high-quality automation solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
• • Design and develop control systems for automated equipment and processes.
• • Program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
• • Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning at client sites.
• • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• • Prepare technical documentation including wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and user manuals.
• • Support the installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of control systems.
• • Ensure all projects comply with safety and quality standards.
• • Provide technical support and training to clients when necessary.
Qualifications
• • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• • Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development (Siemens, Rockwell/AB, etc.).
• • Experience with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
• • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
• • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• • English proficiency is a plus.
