Objetivo de la posición:

A control engineer's main responsibility is supporting all projects that involve controls or automation. They establish the company's standards for the products they help create, as well as recognize issues, address them, and implement fixes quickly and effectively. Control engineers also need to devise layouts and studies to determine the best and most efficient ways to solve engineering issues that may arise. These individuals also need to work with engineers from other departments to ensure that controls fit within the design guidelines of the product as well.

A Control Engineer must work in collaboration with Production and Maintenance departments to guarantee the best performance of the automation equipment in the plant. Define and maintain standards for Machines, PLCs, HMIs, Robots, Networks, etc.

Descripción de Actividades:

1. - Drive Automation Improvements and Implementation to improve Operator Safety, Machine Efficiency, and Plant Capacities.

Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade PLC & HMI solutions

2. - Communicate with the project team and plant personnel to define the functional and safety requirements for project scopes and ensures the project will meet the needs of the plant and the SQDCME indicators.

3. - Design and configure networks for tasks of operation, monitoring and administration of communications equipment. Implement solutions based on industry 4.0 technology

4. - Develop relevant and necessary engineering documentation, including; process and instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics, control panel detail drawings, and instrument wire maps, user manuals, operations sheets, work instructions, and design reports.

5. - Maintain data-bases, backups of automated equipments and Productive servers to assure the production data package updated. Key tasks include commissioning, maintenance, upgrades, backups, and troubleshooting issues.

6. - Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automated projects
