As part of the Global Production Delivery and Enterprise Metadata Governance Center of Excellence, this leadership role drives strategic governance of content metadata and title inventory data across Warner Bros. Discovery.
The Director is responsible for aligning daily governance operations, high-volume data projects, and modernization initiatives to ensure data is high-quality, well-managed, and leveraged for business growth, compliance, and innovation. You'll lead cross-functional teams, partner with global stakeholders, and collaborate with enterprise data and tech partners to shape the future of our content data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance Leadership
Lead global governance for title and content inventory data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and business alignment.
Oversee day-to-day governance operations, data quality controls, exception handling, and reporting.
Define KPIs to monitor and continuously improve data integrity across platforms.
Strategic Initiatives & High-Volume Projects
Drive governance planning and execution for large-scale data efforts (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, catalog migrations).
Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely and accurate integration and data readiness.
Supervise data cleansing, validation, and risk mitigation in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Tech.
Process & Tooling Modernization
Identify opportunities for automation and improved workflows using modern tech, including AI/ML solutions.
Partner with Tech and external vendors to enhance metadata platforms for scale, automation, and usability.
Champion enterprise adoption of data cataloging and governance tools.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy
Act as the strategic liaison between data governance and key business stakeholders, aligning metadata strategies with WBD's corporate goals.
Set long-term vision for title master and inventory governance, collaborating with Enterprise Data Governance and Analytics teams.
Team Leadership & Resource Management
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team aligned with company values and operational goals.
Manage headcount planning, forecasting, and budgeting to support evolving business needs.
