Position: Supply Planning & Stock Management Specialist
Location: Latitud Park.
Department: Supply Chain / Operations
Position Summary:
The Supply Planning & Stock Management Specialist is responsible for developing and executing inventory strategies that ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials and finished goods at the Hermosillo (HMO) plant. This role plays a critical part in balancing cost, lead time, and service reliability through effective planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an end-to-end Stocking Policy framework for both raw materials and finished goods at the HMO plant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and compliance with stocking policies.
- Align inventory strategies with transportation modes to optimize cost, lead time, and service reliability.
- Adjust safety stock parameters based on shipment mode-specific lead times and transit variability.
- Work closely with the Logistics team to ensure transportation decisions support replenishment strategies.
- Recommend changes to shipment modes in response to supply chain disruptions, capacity constraints, or demand shifts.
- Conduct simulation analyses to assess the impact of stocking policy and shipment mode changes on lead time, inventory levels, warehousing, and transportation costs.
- Ensure governance processes are in place to maintain data accuracy and consistency of stocking policies across the HMO plant and stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance stocking efficiency, optimize inventory levels and costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Support capability building by training supply chain teams on stocking policy concepts, tools, and governance processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain roles such as Materials Planning, Factory Planning, or Finished Goods Planning.
- Proven experience using SAP S/4 HANA, IBP, or equivalent planning tools (required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and continuous improvement mindset, with a solid understanding of data analytics tools and capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
