A Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for implementing best practices to securely
build and scale cloud-based infrastructure, services, applications, and networks. This
professional possesses proficiency in various security features offered by cloud
technologies, ensuring data protection, container security, and zero-trust based
architecture.
This individual is in charge of deploying, operating and supporting cloud native
security technologies such as:
• CASB - Cloud Access Security Broker,
• CNAAP - Cloud Native Application Protection Platform,
• CSPM - Cloud Security Posture Management.
• Cloud IAM – Cloud Identity and Access Management.
Responsabilities:
• Develops and implement security controls for cloud infrastructure providers
(AWS)
• Ensure our cloud environments comply with industry standard security
benchmarks
• Provides security expertise on system, network, encryption, authentication,
and governance within cloud environment
• Drives the security standards and tool strategies for private cloud solutions
• Develop scripts and automation to scale and accelerate the implementation of
security features within a cloud environment
• Conducts technical and management briefings. Leads and supervises
technical analysts
• Works with analysts, engineers, and architects across the organization to
continually improve cyber resilience
Requirements and skills:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field
• +5 years of experience in cybersecurity operations on cloud environments or
2+ years of relevant experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment
• English proficiency
• DevOps solid knowledge
• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Ruby-on-Rails and Javascript
• Knowledge on security standards and regulation such as PCI, HIPAA, GDPR,
SOX, ISO 27k series, NIST 800 series
• Deep understanding of core concepts for Public/Private/Hybrid clouds
(networking, security groups, IAM)
