Position Summary:

The SAP COE Solution Manager Architect reports to SAP COE SDLC management. This candidate will lead design & maintenance of an Enterprise Solution Manager (SolMan) template for the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) area with primary focus on Change Request Management (ChaRM) and Solution Documentation (SolDoc). The position is responsible for delivering best practice solutions based on leading practices and SAP expertise in Solution Manager (SolMan), while supporting SAP and continues improvements initiatives in the SAP COE domain.

Functional/Technical Skills:

• Configuration knowledge of the Change Management process (ChaRM) and Solution Documentation (SolDoc)
• Strong knowledge of ChaRM and Solution Documentation features:
  • Configuration Approval Workflows in ChaRM
  • Transport resolution incidents
  • Correction Documents resolution incidents
  • Configuration Approval Workflows Process in Solution Documentation
• Excellent analytical and problem solving, communication and presentation skills
• Solid practice in writing Design documentation (Functional, Configuration & Test Plan templates)

Experience Required:

• Experience in all aspects of implementing Solution Manager 7.2 SP11+ including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing the future state operations solution, as well as supporting testing and post implementation activities
• Experience with gap analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development for Solution Manager
• Experience working in Onsite/Offshore delivery model
• Experience in providing solution architecture, template design and participating in project planning efforts for complex, global SAP deployments
• Extensive experience in ChaRM/SolDoc Approval Workflow process, re-engineering or process improvement, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide Solution Manager support to SAP project and support teams
• In collaboration with the SAP COE teams, ensure adherence to SAP SDLC processes
• Support the design/maintenance of the Solution Manager (ChaRM/SolDoc) template according to internal customer requirements and ensure its continued governance and evolution. This includes reviews and sign-offs of configuration, enhancements and associated system design CR's as well as deployment deliverables such as functional, configuration specifications and test results
• Recommend solutions and develop alternatives which anticipate the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy
• Actively collaborate with Project Delivery, Tech Services, IT Operations and QA to consistently deliver ERP application projects with a high level of quality and functionality that meets the business user's requirements
• Ensure SOX compliance with Project Change Control and good/best practices are followed for standardization and quality initiatives
• Coordinate project/operational CR's to ensure adherence to release guidelines and their impacts to scheduled releases are known and mitigated
• Conduct the Change Advisory Board (CAB) meeting for scheduled changes
• Conduct the transport moves through the use of Task List (the transport management tool)
• Act as system owner for all tools related to the migration of SAP Code

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, SAP Solution Manager certification or any SAP certification or robust SAP SolMan configuration knowledge in following areas: ChaRM and Solution Documentation
• 6+ years of SAP experience in Solution Management (ChaRM / Solution Documentation)
• Fluency in English is mandatory
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP Solution Manager with at least two end-to-end project implementations and experience supporting the application as a Solution Manager Functional SME
• Ability to develop detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other delivery teams & business partners
• Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility, with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with all levels of the business
• Project Management skills
• Knowledge of SAP Business Process & SAP Testing Automation tools is an added advantage
