Postdoctoral Research Associate at Institute for the Future Education - Data Science

The Institute invites early-career, ambitious researchers to apply for postdoctoral positions to develop interdisciplinary research at a world-class level in Learning Analytics-based educational model: improving of the development of transversal competencies. This position is a one-year contract (renewable for one additional year in case of outstanding performance). Part of the position's responsibility may include working with direct supervisors as a teaching assistant, not exceeding 25% of the total time.

Requirements:

• Must have earned a Ph.D. degree in the following areas of knowledge: Computer Science, Educational Innovation, Theoretical Physics or Applied Mathematics with expertise in simulations or in Statistics.
• Must have outstanding leadership potential, and commitment to developing an exciting and innovative research agenda to produce high scientific impact, technology development, or opportunities to develop technology-based entrepreneurship, in educational innovation. Previous experience in data science is an advantage. In addition, skills such as conducting quantitative and qualitative research, writing funding projects and manuscripts for publication are preferred.
• Must have published at least one scientific journal article in English indexed in Scopus.
• Previous experience in research is desirable (for example, participation in international research or development projects, research stay, or previous postdoctoral stays).
• A team player open to interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Demonstrated oral and written English skills at least at the level of B2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Spanish proficiency is desirable but not a requirement.
• Knowledge in R, Python programming.

Location: Monterrey or Toluca, Mexico.
