Customer Quality Engineer

CQE will be responsible to provide quality engineering support to OEM

Automotive Assembly and Tier 1 customers.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will serve as the link between the Customer's Assembly plant and the Aptiv manufacturing facility. The candidate will also be required to test and verify rejected parts within the vehicle electrical and communication system. Candidate should be computer literate and competent with Microsoft office. This person should be highly organized and have superior communication skills as he/she will interface with customers.

Role Responsibilities:

• CQE will schedule regular visits to all assigned OEM and Tier 1 Customer's manufacturing facilities
• Develop customer relationships in the Customer's plant to improve the product and maintain or increase Aptiv's business potential.
• Perform a good first level analysis of non-conformances.
• Verify all suspect product and maintain product test equipment.
• Be the communication link between the OEM Customer Plant and Aptiv.
• Expedite non-confirming material back to Aptiv same day.
• Input return part information into the QSYS system.
• Provide technical support and product/vehicle system understanding.
• Conduct/coordinate initial 24-hour containment.
• Where required, coordinate additional containment.
• Be an integral part of the respective Response Teams.
• Monitor/negotiate Global Customer Database Return Parts Per Million (PPM) rates.

• Provide/coordinate special event activities.

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years of related work experience.
• Training in Computer Application.
• Technical training and/or related experience.
• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Intermediate-advanced English.
• College degree.

Preferred Education:

• College degree with a Major in Engineering.
• Quality Engineering training.
• Problem Solving training.
