Job Description- Purchasing representative in the product development process and cross-functional SE-teams.
- Responsible for achievement of quality, cost and delivery targets as well as preparations for supplier selection incl.RFQ process, supplier evaluation and communication, and participation in sourcing decisions.
- Responsible for the management of cost saving activities for procured parts as member of cross-functional team (RPP).
- Purchasing responsible for the change management for procured parts (ECR) and interface to material field and quality purchasing within the purchasing organization.
- Responsible to conduct Technical Supplier Discussions with suppliers (TSD), engineering and purchasing related functions to clarify part and quality requirements.
- Evaluate and confirm technical feasibility for awarded suppliers.
- Evaluate and coordinate risk assessment for potential suppliers for business awards.
- Perform Purchasing Reviews to evaluate delivery, cost and quality of assigned project launches.
- Responsible to evaluate and coordinate RPP project saving activities for supplied purchased components.
- Demonstrate project management skills including planning, prioritizing, monitoring, coordinating planned task in project launch scenarios.
- Travel required: Up to 30% (domestic and international)
QualificationsBasic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years experience in engineering, project management, or purchasing
- 3+ years experience working in the Automotive industry
- 3+ years of experience with Mechanical and Electro Mechanical components in any of the following: Gray Iron, Plastics, Castings, Turned Parts, Stampings, Motors
- Advanced English
Preferred Qualifications: - Engineering degree discipline in Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar.
- Technical project purchasing or commercial purchasing
- Experience in supplier quality assurance
- Experience in plastic molding, metal forming (stamping, machining, cold-forging) and EC motors
- Solid understanding of cost drivers of Electro Mechanical components
- Sound knowledge of MS-Office applications
- SAP experience
- Good Project Management Skills (Planning, Coordinating, Prioritizing, and communicating complex task within the project team, risk assessment escalation).
- Collaboration Skills, Flexibility and Assertiveness.
- Willing to work in the international environment, with ability to ability to adapt to different project requirements, environments and to travel with and outside home country when necessary.
- Personality and Working Practice: result orientation, initiative, reliable and team-orient, ability to lead cross functions teams, good skills to efficiently develop a network in a complex organization
