Engineer - Piston Pump to join our diverse engineering team of Industrial Pumps & Motors. This position is for Reynosa, Mexico location. The Engineer will be responsible for existing pump products' related engineering for Industrial Pumps & Motor business unit. As a member of a creative, motivated and talented team, we need our engineers to be versatile and passionate to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward in industrialising them in our manufacturing plants. If you get excited about implanting new designed products in manufacturing, maintaining the designs, support cross functional teams in plant environment, solve customer issues, help suppliers to manufacture pump components, then our team might be your next career step. You will be responsible for leading design localization projects, implementing the component revisions, releasing the product bill of materials to plant operating system, support quality, manufacturing members on various issues, drive cost down through design activities and work closely with the team to assess business impact and constraints. You must be proficient with product assembly methodologies, tools and practices, and must have experience of full life cycle development of hydraulics or relevant domain products, on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, and testing
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Initiate and execute project plans, which include the scheduled actions and the resources required to meet the project objectives. Example include qualifying the new suppliers or processes to reduce cost, robustness projects to enhance the quality or reliability of the product through design improvements, development and launch of new features for existing products.
- Work with operations and manufacturing engineering team to do further implementation of those designs/projects.
- Perform and document design calculations and verify all necessary tolerance stack ups for new designed components and design revisions.
- Conduct design review meetings to follow through on recommended actions
- Develop verification plans using DFMEA, design review and expert inputs. Liaison with test resources and write test request with engineering data. Analyze the results and conclude on findings, recommend further actions/implementation of those revisions/new designs after design reviews.
- Maintain product design control, initiate and follow through on engineering change requests and verify all documentation of new design or design changes is complete.
- Be a prime member of any product localization projects in manufacturing plant as a product engineering member to provide all necessary engineering support in order to achieve successful launch of those product designs.
- Resolve product performance issues through team-oriented problem solving and document according to 8D process for root cause.Provide technical support to other functional areas. Interface with internal functional areas such as sales, manufacturing, marketing, service, quality and procurement and supply chain as well as external customers and suppliers.

- Must have requirement Bachelor's degree In Mechanical engineering with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience preferably in Piston Pump engineering and/or components.
- Preferred to have experience and working knowledge of Mechanical, hydraulic systems and respective components design & manufacturing processes overview.
- Hands on mechanical and troubleshooting and or Root Cause Analysis skills.
- Lead predictable designs through DFMEA, Risk Management & Design verification plan for new designs &/or existing product improvements.
- Hands on exposure to engineering standard like ASME ISO related to Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance GD&T, Stack Up analysis, MSA, Gauge R&R, checklists, etc.
- Familiar with Engineering change management process and execution of changes thru PLM or any other system.
- Hands on experience in CAD tools like ProE, UG NX, AutoCAD.
- Ability to evaluate situations objectively and to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on work performance and processes.
- Demonstrate flexibility in approach and ideas, respond positively and support changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility, and assignments.
- Very good communication skills written and verbal in Spanish & English with an interest in working across organizational lines.
- Ability to develop ta through technical knowledge of product line that includes product design, testing, evaluation, understanding the manufacturing methods and processes in house or subcontracted and how they impact product performance and life.
- Experience working collaboratively with customers, both internal and external to understand requirements or troubleshoot application and product issues.
- Demonstrate ability to balance actively seeking input and being self-directed to achieve agreed upon objectives
