JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary Purpose:
Looking for a highly motivated leader to perform tasks related to requirements analysis, functional solution design, testing and deployment of technology-enabled solutions to the Human Resources organization. Partners with the HR community at various levels to determine business requirements and expectations. Uses initiative and innovation to identify and analyze business process improvements. Works between global functional and technical teams to elicit information and give guidance in order to ensure alignment and consistency, and to ensure solutions meet stated objectives.
Primary Duties:
Uses analytical tools and insight to gather, refine define and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies, potential risks and issues.
Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to such specifications.
Develop project plans and project manage small to mid-size projects without support from the PMO.
Manage assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and project scope.
Manages project risks through assessment, identification, and mitigation of potential risks.
Partner with Business and Project Managers to ensure a successful change management process.
Develops comprehensive User Acceptance Testing Plan with use case scenarios so that the requirements and test cases are unambiguous, aligned, consistent and not in contradiction with each other. Documents all test results and partners with developers for test resolution efforts.
Performs release management activities to promote application changes into production.
Participation in production and/or system launches with IT and business resources to ensure production environment is done accurately.
Must be able to quickly analyze whether system launch was success and identify production-related issues with stakeholders.
Lead internal project status meetings, identifying action items and documenting appropriately.
Works on multiple projects as a business analyst and at times lead and/or execute small application enhancements activities.
Manages resource assignment and/or prioritization of operation project tasks.
Communicate with team, contractors, third party vendors, stakeholders to ensure successful completion of the project.
Works closely with IT Project Managers and the project team members to identify application support requirements and ensure smooth transition of development projects to HRIT DevOps support teams.
Works collaboratively within a delivery team at all levels including stakeholder management, with considerate ability to take ownership of tasks and complete them with minimal direct supervision.
Works with IT Purchasing to issue RFI, RFP, RFQ techniques to identify, select, and engage with vendors to ensure competitive market advantage.
Develops trusting relationships with the business, facilitates communication between IT and other internal and external colleagues, and gains commitment from the business to align solutions with business strategies.
Ensures global alignment and consistency while effectively balancing global, regional and local needs.
Develops deep business and application domain knowledge for HRIT portfolio to aid in critically evaluating the balance of both business needs and user requests.
Works closely with the Global HR BRM and HR business partners to roadmap business capabilities to IT capabilities to identify opportunities for delivering technology solutions that will enable the organization.
Job Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline.
At least 6 years of functional experience in Business Analysis or related field is required.
At least 3 years of project management experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated fluency in business processes and process differentiation.
Advanced training on elicitation and elaboration of requirements from a verified source.
Business Analysis certification or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience with HR, Benefits, Health & Safety, Payroll or T&A systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) preferred.
Knowledge of industry testing tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps or similar).
Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural differences and ability to impact across cultures.
Speak English fluently and strong written skills in English.
Excellent business communication and change management skills and ability to work with those who use English as a primary or secondary language.
Strong and presentation skills with the ability to present technical matters in a simple, clear and concise manner to the targeted audience.
Thinks creatively, conceptually and analytically and considers the wider consequences of each decision.
