Buyer is responsible to maintain the purchase of materials and services, to ensure that the company operational needs are met, looking for best price, quality, and delivery, to ensure continuity of supply.

Experience

3-5 years minimum experience in purchasing department.

Experience with electronics and electromechanical commodities.

Experience on low volume high mix material purchases.

Experience in handling high constrained components.

Experience in supporting/Elaborate allocation plans for critical parts.

APICS certification or strong MRP / ERP background

Experience in Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

Manage purchase orders release according Oracle MRP suggestion and keep updated delivery promise date from supplier.

Ensure deliveries are according MRP request.

Keep price in agreement and follow up any exception reporting to materials management and sourcing. PPV needs to be approved before confirm purchase order to supplier.

Inventory purchases must follow corporate approval steps that are embedded in Oracle ERP

Ensure purchases are according approved vendor and manufacturer part number.

Resolve any supplier invoice payment issue reported.

Maintain material MRP data Integrity (MOQ, Price and lead time.

Report out any disruption on material or supplies delivery, stablish recovery plan in agreement with customer service and production departments to meet customer expectation.

Meet inventory cost level objective.

Freight cost control; follow up approval process for premium freight.

Development and support any supply strategy (consignment, VMI, etc.)

Capture and maintain assigned KPI's for the role

Perform other duties assigned by the purchasing supervisor and/or Manager.
