We are a transnational company, leader in its field and we are looking for a Purchasing Manager to attend to the 3 factory we have in Mexico.

The purchasing manager plays a fundamental role in companie. Its decisions are of great importance, it plays a strategic and key role in the search for better prices and conditions that help improve the efficiency of operations, reduce costs and ensure the supply of essential goods and services for the company.

Its main role is to coordinate purchasing activities with the production and sales departments to acquire raw materials, components, equipment and services in a profitable and timely manner. Provide purchasing solutions at the lowest cost, recommending cost savings proposals and alignment with internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and collaborate with various teams, both within and outside of sourcing, to meet financial and operational requirements.
• Develop departmental plans including business, production, or organizational priorities. In-depth business and managerial knowledge specific to Procurement Operations.
• Ensure high standards of data quality and accuracy in different sourcing tools, databases, and platforms, with a particular focus on data quality assurance and comprehensive reporting to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
• Drive integrated procurement system and operations strategy to help category deliver their business challenges.
• Participate in designing plans, systems, tracking mechanisms to help implement material requirements efficiently.
• Responsible for operational relations with relevant suppliers and administers ongoing supplier management programs.
• Make medium term forecast of cost price development.
• Attunes purchase orders with manufacturing.
• Advising Product Management and Supply Management in case of stagnation.
• Successfully troubleshoots most supply bottlenecks/ inventory delays independently.

About You

You're a fit for the role if your background includes:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Credible knowledge and expertise across a wide range of Procurement areas of spend, with significant experience in successfully developing and negotiating
• 5+ years of applicable experience across the Procurement value chain, operations, program management and sound understanding of applicable laws / regulations.
• Strong ability to clearly understand business needs, historic spend, construct of existing contracts, applicable buying practices, external market drivers to build an insightful profile for assigned spend.
• Excellent (external and internal) relationship management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experienced sourcing practitioner, with deal architecture and negotiation skills, understanding of best-practice sourcing methodology and a demonstrated track record of working ethically to achieve excellent outcomes.
• Strong experience in contracting process from drafting to execution by negotiating contracts through applying best in class practices.
• Knowledge of the sourcing marketplace and trends in the industry including the ability to assess the impact of change in the context of the sourcing strategy.
• Expert analytics and ability to develop coherent and high-quality sourcing collateral including business case.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Experience of building strong relationships with senior business executives.
