Job Description
Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We are currently looking for a Purchasing Manager for North America. The assignment is based out of Queretaro Mexico. In this position, you are responsible for the day to day support and management of the North America Purchasing. This role supports and manages the Purchasing (product launch, Direct & Indirect Material) and Supplier Quality and Development for the region.

What you will be doing:
Strategic and operational procurement of direct and indirect material for the entire region NA Management of new part introduction processes to allow for flawless launches in terms of supplier cost, quality and timing
Support the achievement of all business unit KPIs such as company profit, operating cash flow, customer satisfaction
Conduct benchmarks and market research to optimize the supplier portfolio in terms of cost, quality and supply
Preparation and negotiation of master supply agreements in coordination with commodity and cross-functional departments
Ensure compliance with Purchasing Policy including BPM (Business Policy Manual), Purchasing Terms and Conditions, Global Supplier Quality Manual (GSQM), etc.
What you will need to be successful
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or supply chain is required. Masters level degree or MBA preferred.
Extensive and relevant work experience of at least 8-10 years in sourcing/procurement management, preferably within the automotive industry or multi-national production company
Strong negotiation skills, highly self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude
Ability to drive accountability and high levels of performance throughout the organization and influence others
The ability and track record to have managed a team of 10 purchasing personnel in the past.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with strong planning and problem-solving abilities
Results driven and able to work under pressure
Willingness, enthusiasm and aptitude for driving change and improvement
Business acumen
Fluent in English with aptitude for other languages
Willingness to travel globally
Must be located in Queretaro Mexico
