Responsabilities
- Manage the tactical acquisition activities of suppliers and raw materials assigned.
- Purchase order releasing.
- Ensure dispatch on time.
- Coordinate with Internal Business Partner (requestor) and Supplier for Purchase Order Changes and new part introduction.
- Conduct capacity analysis for suppliers underperforming.
- Provide resolution on shipments and payment discrepancies.
- Timely execution on system exceptions messages.
- Found alternate sources of supply for material in shortage.
- Will decrease the number of late purchase orders.
- Will help keep control on inventory with receipt on time.
- Will increase the performance of suppliers assigned.
- Will provide information that help to maintain the flow of material in the supply chain.
- Placing purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner using Oracle tools, ASCP and specific customer requests.
- Request authorization to place purchase orders for low volume items according to the policies of requirements.
- Manage activities and goals indicators (RDSL) and promises (PDSL).
- Support in the control of the variations of the purchase price.
- Coordinate the activities of assurance of delivery.
- Participate in business reviews with suppliers.
- Work with the planning team on special projects as needed.
- Conduct monthly conferences with suppliers and the specialist in strategic purchases.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree
- Bilingual (English 90%)
- At least 7 years of experience as Buyer, Commodity lead, Planner/Buyer, Inventory Analyst. Strategic Procurement experience is a plus.
- Experiences working with foreign suppliers from USA and ASIA. Advanced Excel skills.
- Management of inventory management programs: AS400, BPCS, Kronos, MRP, Oracle, JD Edwards.
- Analytical skills, for communication, negotiation, and teamwork
