Overview:
The mission of the Finance FP&A Intern role is to help to make the most informed decisions possible for the benefit of Schneider Electric. They are going to be a champion of the financial transformation expansion in the region, as well as aid in the business decision making process through a deep understanding of the business drivers affecting performance and providing insightful analysis to drive actions, all while balancing the need to harmonize and simplify our current processes across Business Units and geographies. This position will be the responsible for supporting and standardizing the financial transformation expansion and digitization initiatives in the Americas Region.
General Responsibilities
The major focus is to provide meaningful analysis and support to the region in the digitization and expansion financial journey in the region. The position is looking for a change management advocate that can influence & convince others not within an immediate scope. The individual will be a key stakeholder in the financial analysis and driving the business transformation as we create the "FP&A of the Future".
• Drive the finance digital transformation moving manual excel models to automated data sets and value-added certified visualizations and dashboards.
• Identify root cause analysis to identify opportunity areas and gap analysis as we undergo the digital transformation and process simplification.
• Be an active participant in the overall reporting process for the region.
• Collaborate and build relationships with Global Supply Chain and Business Finance focusing on their contribution to the reporting process.
• Participate and support on daily basis the costing process for the region.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Key Success Factors:
• Studying Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Strong financial/analytical skills with proven business acumen.
• PC skills (emphasis on MS Excel, Power Point, HFM/Hyperion/Essbase, SAP and SQL) and the ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly. Possess superior Excel skills including charting and ability to manipulate large volumes of data resulting from various sources into meaningful and dependable managerial information
• The right candidate will demonstrate strong ability to work with and influence others not within direct reporting relationship
• Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing, with the ability to build effective partnerships across teams
