Job Description:
The Sales Operations Analyst supports the North American Sales Team with day-to-day management of Commercial programs such as (but not limited to): rebates, marketing programs, 3rd party commissions, and reporting and analysis of selling activities and outcomes. This role reports into the Sales Operations Leader. The candidate must have strong communication and problem-solving skills with an analytical and continuous improvement mindset, while effectively being able to multitask in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Additionally, this role will also be responsible for supporting project initiatives to help improve analytics toolsets for the business to better guide informed decisions.

Additionally, this role will also be responsible for supporting project initiatives to help improve analytics toolsets for the business to better guide informed decisions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance and validation of sales and margin data
- Analysis of core reporting out of PowerBI and other reporting tools
- Analysis of existing data sets for Sales, Channel Marketing, and Senior Management
- Ownership of data required to execute programs, toolsets, and systems
- Routine audits of data to ensure accuracy of reporting and program processing
- Interface with Sales, IT, Channel Marketing, Product Management, Pricing, Sales Operations, and Finance, as needed, to execute the programs effectively
- Support the implementation of new tools and expansion of existing tools for use by the Sales team to understand and simulate program performance
- Administration of program payments, reporting, and communication activities
- Analyze large data sets in disparate systems to provide ease of reporting for sales team and other key business users
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and implement solutions and optimize processes
- Strong analytical skills across business functions and industries
- Ability to maintain calm under pressure and thrive in fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities and deadlines under pressure. Strong time management skills are a must for this role.
- Capable of researching, understanding, and communicating issues with data, reporting, and system outputs
- Skilled at effectively communicating quantitative information to all individuals in the organization, specifically those less familiar with data and system intricacies
- Demonstrated experienced in working with large disparate data sets and the tools used to mine and analyze for reporting analysis and presentation
- Able to manage competing demands and easily adapts to changes in work environment and schedule, demonstrated experience with strong prioritization skills
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills comfortable communicating over the phone and in person with sales team members and leaders
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
- Demonstrates attentiveness, responsiveness, and an appropriate sense of urgency
- Self-starter is a must for this role - shows initiative and proactively identifies opportunities for improvements, demonstrated ability at self-learning
- Understanding of Financial reporting and Finance data
- Effectively learn and understand ESAB's systems and data flows
- Proactive individual that is comfortable working both independently and in collaborative teams. Intellectual curiosity is a must.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- MS Access or other database/query design background preferred
- Demonstrated PowerBI experience in developing/building analytics and dashboards
- Strong financial acumen with relevant experience interacting with and assessing diverse data sources
- Advanced Excel experience and demonstrated ability to work with large complex data sets and synthesize to key reporting needs
- CRM experience (MS Dynamics or Salesforce.com or equivalent) a plus
- SAP experience preferred
- SQL programming exposure greatly preferred
- Minimum 5+ years in data analytics role supporting business users and experience working with sales, IT and cross functional teams
