We are hiring a Quality Engineer (Performance Solutions Business Unit) based in Queretaro. The Quality Engineer position will responsible of APQP/ PPAP, Internal and External Quality, Customer Support and support to other issues.

We are hiring a Quality Engineer (Performance Solutions Business Unit) based in Queretaro. The Quality Engineer position will responsible of APQP/ PPAP, Internal and External Quality, Customer Support and support to other issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus of the role is to ensure customer expectations are met through communication and feedback from the customers on product quality related matters to include site visits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Quality management systems to conform with IATF:16949 including creating quality documents (ie: Visual Aids, Work Instructions, etc.) Responsible for coordinating customer corrective action requests.
- Responsible for control plans (production).
- Participates in FMEA's / APQP / Flow chart
- Responsible for MRB (material review board) and disposition of material
- Responsible for Development on NPI quality criteria and customer specifics
- Performs CPK / PPK equipment validation analysis
- Participates in process walk through / process improvements / training
- Conducts process validation with manufacturing engineer
- Conducts disciplinary actions for quality rejections.
- Coordinates and performs dock audits
- Responsible for inspection of fixtures and measurements
- Serves as a technical resource to production teams in providing quality related training, problem solving techniques, process and product improvement, scrap reduction, etc.
- Will be required to perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management team members.
- Responsible for assigned projects emerged from strategic planning and their timely completion Capable of providing support as requested by manager.
- Responsible for Customer PPAPs.
- Responsible for SPC.
- Responsible for PPMs and countermeasures
What will make you successful?
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline required
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment. (desired but not mandatory).
- Thorough knowledge of automotive quality systems such as GM Quality System Basics (desired), IATF:16949, VDA (desired), etc.
- Must have Core Tools knowledge and experience (APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA) • Ability to work in a self-directed work team environment.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and use test/measuring equipment,
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of SPC.
- Foreign language skills, English advanced
- At least 2 years of experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment. (desired)
