Position Description:

Our Fulfilled by Maersk Platform team is looking for an application manager who will provide support to our standardizing or our Omni Channel Transportation applications, driving large scale application technical debt replacement initiatives, and guiding cross functional teams through complex customer implementations and challenging cure periods.

The right candidates for this position will possess a need to improve business operations, and then supervise the installation, upgrading and daily maintenance of software applications used by the Platform. Understanding of technology in an Omni Channel Transportation operational environment, having earned this experience through a career spent on-site supporting operational teams.

We are large organisation that generates a steady stream of improvement initiatives, business growth opportunities, and challenging operational situations, which require an ability to comfortably manage multiple, and often competing, priorities simultaneously. This is a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is required.

Application Management
  • Demonstrate full control of the Application portfolio owned by the OCT (Omni Channel Transportation) - FbM Platform
  • Managing Applications throughout their lifecycle
  • Supports and maintains operational applications, and plays an important role in design, testing and improvement of applications that form part of IT Services
  • Support the organization's business processes by helping to identify functional and manageability requirements for application software
  • Assisting in the decision whether to build, invest, eliminate an application
  • Provide ongoing support and improvement of those applications
  • Identify skills required to support the applications.
  • Ensure Maersk governance, frameworks and cybersecurity standards are followed and implemented effectively.
  • Provide feedback to vendor management and procurement teams on supplier performance


End-to-End Tech Accountability Mindset
  • Experience in directly supporting technology installation projects, customer implementations project.
  • Partners with Project Managers or Operational Managers in coordinating troubleshoot and testing efforts between technical (hardware and application) and non-technical (operational and commercial) teams.
  • Drives project technology teams through challenging situations to successfully deliver solutions within promised timelines.
  • Validate technology incident level escalation request from service desk (Level 1 Support) to Major Incident Management.


Technical Expertise
  • Experience with Omni Channel Transportation applications, handheld scan device interface, label printing services.
  • Experienced with Omni Channel Transportation operational technology architectures and designs.
  • Experience with Omni Channel Transportation operational processes and enabling EWMS / TMS / E-Commerce applications.
  • Application configuration experience on handheld scanning devices


Position Accountabilities
  • Stability metric improvements as measured by reductions in number of reported Omni Channel Transportation technology incidents.
  • Maintain high-level technical specification/design documentation for each of the sites in regional scope.
  • Speed to resolution improvements as measured by reductions in the average and maximum time to resolve reporting incidents.
  • Technical Debt remediation as measured by net reduction in number of end-of-life units in operation.
  • Positive qualitative input from key operations, commercial and technical stakeholders, specifically in times of high urgency and high complexity problem solving.
