Payments product and fraud owner – Mexico

Position Overview:

As the Payments Product and Fraud Owner at Codere Online, you will take a pivotal role in both shaping the product roadmap for payments and fraud prevention systems and managing fraud detection efforts. This role combines product management responsibilities with fraud analysis expertise, requiring both technical and analytical skills. You will collaborate with various teams to enhance payment processes, implement anti-fraud measures, and ensure seamless technical integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fraud Detection and Prevention:
Monitor and analyze transaction data to identify fraudulent activities, patterns, and risks.
Develop and implement anti-fraud rules, mechanisms, and strategies to prevent fraud and reduce chargebacks.
Chargeback Analysis and Dispute Resolution:
Investigate chargeback claims, identify root causes of fraudulent activity, and work to resolve disputes efficiently.
Case Management and Escalation:
Assess and escalate suspicious cases to relevant departments (Finance, Legal, etc.) for further investigation.
Request KYC (Know Your Customer) documents to verify customer identities and support fraud investigations.
Fraud Reporting and Documentation:
Generate reports to track fraud metrics, payment performance, and the effectiveness of fraud prevention strategies.
Maintain detailed documentation of fraud investigations, actions taken, and outcomes.
Product Strategy and Vision:
Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for payments and fraud prevention in alignment with business objectives.
Prioritize product backlogs and manage the development of new features and enhancements.
Product Requirements and Documentation:
Write detailed product tickets, user stories, and specifications to guide the development team.
Document product development progress and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Technical Integration:
Oversee and facilitate technical integrations with external payment processors, fraud detection systems, and internal platforms.
Ensure proper implementation of APIs, fraud prevention tools, and other technical solutions to support a secure and efficient payment infrastructure.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with IT, regulation, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of product features.
Act as the primary point of contact for payments and fraud-related product discussions with internal and external partners.
Market Analysis and Innovation:
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvements in payment processing and fraud prevention.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, Product Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in fraud detection, payments processing and chargeback analysis or product ownership, writing product tickets, and managing technical integrations.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of payment processing systems and fraud prevention techniques within the iGaming industry.
Experience working with development teams and managing product roadmaps.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.

Extra Awesome:

Native Spanish speaker.
Experience with APIs.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and backlog management.
Passion for iGaming.

Shift and Availability:

This role is based in Mexico and is a shift-based position, requiring flexibility to work day and night shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays.
