Location: On-site | Santa Fe, CDMX
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Language Requirement: Advanced English (B2 or higher) – all documentation is in English

About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our on-site team in Santa Fe, CDMX. This role is ideal for developers who are passionate about clean, scalable, and high-performance backend systems, and who thrive in a collaborative environment. As part of our engineering team, you will also mentor junior developers and help shape backend architecture and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side logic ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend systems.
- Optimize database operations and ensure scalability of applications.
- Define task scopes and contribute to the planning and execution of technical stories.
- Implement security protocols and data protection measures.
- Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend issues in a proactive and efficient manner.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and backend development trends.
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages: Python, C#, Java
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases: SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Familiarity with caching systems like Redis
- Containerization and environment management using Docker
- Understanding of RESTful API design and backend architecture patterns
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of professional experience in backend development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in English-speaking environments.
- A team player with a proactive attitude and mentoring mindset.
- Commitment to producing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
