ABOUT THIS ROLE
This role will be responsible for all system monitoring and ensure the highest uptime availability. Also, It's the person in charge to monitor, escalate and follow up the system outages with the proper engineering team. The team is the first line of contact for any production issue with internal users, third parties and partners. Also, provide support that include identify and troubleshoot technical issues during production deployments.
This position is part of the RIA Production Engineering organization, and it´s a hybrid position. The position works in a collaborative environment to support both: new business initiatives and stability of existing systems.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring a large complex and critical infrastructure.
- Escalaten technical issue to the corresponding engineering team.
- Incident Management.
- Lead communication between our teams also including external communications to our Vendors and Partners.
- Document Incident tickets.
- Lead deployment calls involving QA and Devs accordingly.
- Monitor actively critical systems.
- Detect on time possible issues
- Provide support for transmission testing.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Analyze/troubleshoot complex problems.
- Be part of a 24/7-team to cover business operations.
- Daily health reporting for business.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with monitoring solutions such as Grafana, Nagios, ICINGA, Redgate, Uptrends, and Opsgenie.
- Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Azure DevOps, and Linux systems.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with ticketing solutions like Jira or similar.
- Familiarity with ITIL or Cobit5 frameworks.
- Scripting experience using bash, batch files, or PowerShell.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in the field.
- Proven experience in NOC positions and/or Helpdesk/IT support positions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
