As a REGIONAL SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER, you will guide communication between manufacturing sites, procurement, regional teams, and the suppliers ensuring that the specifications and quality requirements are met for all supplied products and services. These goals will be achieved by close supplier monitoring, improvement action plans, supplier audits, and development of new suppliers to avoid risk.
Yo will report to Supplier Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure that 100% of non-conformities are raised in the supplier CAIR system.
• Track and follow-up 100% of monetary claims from the manufacturing sites and ensure the chargeback is allocated to the sites affected.
• Work with suppliers and technical teams to develop and implement incoming testing for important items to ensure the defects are detected before entering to production.
• Active participation to develop the regional supplier audit plan and conduct supplier audits based on priorities for the region.
• Conduct supplier trainings (RC analysis, contamination prevention and requirements) according to the regional SD teams.
• Ensure lesson learned from supplier issues and preventive activities are deployed in the sites (PFMEA, Control plants, LPA audits).
• Coordinate internal and external supplier CAIR management for the sites in scope.
• Work with suppliers to improve root cause analysis capabilities and promote the use of core tools.
• Analyze supplier performance for trends and needed actions
• Lead root cause investigations with suppliers and PPG's site.
• Coordinate changes related with current and new suppliers with the technical, procurement and supply chain teams.
• Support all quality related One PPG plans.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemistry, Material Science or Equivalent).
• 3+ years working experience with supplier auditing, problem solving and corrective action development.
• ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 experienced auditor.
• Paint process knowledge.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Project management.
