Scope of leadership role
Position Summary: Provide overall operational performance, EH&S and P&L ownership for the Plant, including hands-on leadership of the Regal Business System which enables continuous improvement throughout the value stream. Lead Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance to exceed our stakeholders' expectations and enable growth in the business. Report directly to the VP of Operations or VP/GM and play a key role in creating a vision, leading the organization by example, elevating performance, as well as, achieving short and long term strategic planning objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Organizational Leadership
- Be responsible for the Plant and lead all aspects of the manufacturing operations, facilities, materials and employees.
- Lead a cross-functional organization and operational value stream by setting objectives, developing plans, executing daily management activities and implementing corrective action (as required) to ensure customer success
- Ability to establish organizational vision in both quantitative and qualitative measures with the ability to progress toward established vision.
- Foster a learning organization that is invested in recognizing and understanding performance gaps, instilling organizational energy to perpetually tackle the tough problems, embrace change for the better and progress as both an organization and a business.
- Effectively remove ambiguity and align the organization toward both the long and short term business objectives.
Drive Business Performance - SQDC
- Effectively develop, communicate and align the organization around the business' Key Performance Indicators to ensure performance targets are achieved.
- Champion all EH&S efforts. Ensure that employee and product safety are the top priority. Drive a culture of Safety, zero accidents and actively provide leadership relative to safety accountability with site leadership team.
- With the site leadership team, lead the business management cadence (Daily/Weekly/Monthly) that drives Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance throughout the organization.
- Responsible for both operational and financial performance of the business focused on Revenue, Operating Income and Cash performance. Effectively manage budgets and spending to achieve both long and short term business objectives.
- Partner with other Site Leaders, Business Unit, Business Segment and Central Functions to ensure both Regal's and Customer's Success.
Talent Management
- Provide experienced and effective leadership, coaching and mentorship for the organization.
- With Plant Leadership and HR Business Partner lead talent management system for the organization, driving organizational effectiveness, proper structure and employee development aligned with achieving business objectives.
- Identify, recruit and retain top talent. Talent hawk.
Continuous Improvement Leadership
- Set a clear vision for the site with a supporting CI Roadmap to achieve the intended future state.
- Lead the development, organizational alignment and achievement of long term value stream/operational improvement priorities (Policy Deployment).
- Lead Daily Management activities at Gemba to drive SQDC performance and improvement across the business.
- Lead and engage employees during daily management, kaizens and projects to drive continuous improvement and foster a progressive organization.
- Leverage knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement principles to solve problems utilizing a structured, data-driven, fact-based and team oriented approach.
- Establish and lead an organization energized by effective problem solving, defect elimination and effective root cause corrective action.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- The successful candidate will have proven experience in developing collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. This leader must have the passion, energy and intellectual curiosity necessary for a fast-paced, growth-driven
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- 10-15+ years (Operations, Mat'ls, Mfg. Eng, Quality, Production, CI)
- (3+ years in Leadership role)
- Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma required; Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred
- High level of proficiency with Communication and change management, Leadership.
- Strong skills in : Flexibility, ambition, Self- development, Teamwork & cooperation, action oriented, diversity & comfort with.
