We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a DevOps Engineer

What you'll do:

- As an DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the cross functional scrum team in-order to support Engineering activities

- - Automate CI/CD pipelines for Continuous deployment integrating with Sonar, Junit e.t.c tools

- - Update existing processes and design new processes for optimizing the performance

- - Manage code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes

- - Deploy the code updates as required while implementing integrations when they arise

- - Automate existing operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with Optum security requirements

- - Work closely with Developers and Architects in solving software defects

- - Provide guidance on the DevOps best practices and frameworks in areas of automation, security and release management

Address performance and scalability issues of Kubernetes (Ex: AKS) platform by working with the vendor as needed basis

Preferred experience:

- - Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

- - 5+ years of experience with Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.

- - 5+ years of recent hands on experience in containerization in Docker, Kubernetes orchestration tools.

- - 5+ years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps): Working knowledge of code management tools like Git, agile management tools like Jira/Rally, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps.

- - Cloud engineering experience with Microsoft Azure, GCP, K8s.

- - Knowledge in microservice architecture and deployments.

- - Hands-on experience in coding and script (Python, Bash).

- - Strong familiarity with JIRA, SCM/GIT including branching and merging strategies.

- - Experience with automation/ configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform, or an equivalent.

- - Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus too).

- - Excellent communication skills
