Worldwide Real Estate Technology (WWRE) seeks a talented Salesforce Application Engineer to administer and grow a global Salesforce instance. This role will help WWRE solve some of our toughest data problems, helping scale our systems and drive global standardization to support Amazon's continued expansion.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will be helping to automate workflows, reduce data entry requirements, and support various project teams who manage Amazon's WW Plan of Record. This role will partner with internal and external technical teams to develop novel solutions and centralize data across multiple tools. The ideal candidate can build in Salesforce and Skuid, with additional experience using AppFlow, Redshift, and S3.

- Develop innovative user interfaces (using Skuid and other tools) to optimize the user experience as part of a customer obsessed tech team

- Identify and implement process automation improvements (apex, flows, etc) to reduce data entry requirements and improve data quality

- Identify and implement data architecture changes (in concert with product and engineering leadership) to drive system scalability and reduce technical debt

- Administer Salesforce instance for a global user base, including production support; user creation, permission, and maintenance; and release management

- Help maintain source code repository, reconcile merge conflicts, and participate in code reviews

- Own environment management for prod and pre-production environments

- Partner with team on integrations between Salesforce and other products

- Participate - as part of the development team - in traditional agile structures

- Support compliance obligations as part of the development team

- Partner with team on process and technical documentation for Salesforce instance.

About the team

WWRE Tech manages software tools to centralize data about what buildings Amazon launches. Since inception, these tools have grown to encompass Amazon's worldwide operations (outside physical stores): we now cover thousands of active new launches, retrofit, and lease-related projects. We create global standards for managing data related to these capital projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java

- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
