About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Golang Developer with a strong background in building scalable microservices and deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure. As a technical leader, you will design, develop, and deploy high-performance systems, mentor a team of engineers, and drive best practices in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Fluency in Spanish and C2-level English is essential to communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain microservices using Golang, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product) to define technical requirements and deliver production-ready code.
- Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, and deployment, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).
- Mentor and guide junior developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability in production environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to manage AWS resources.
- Communicate effectively in Spanish and English (C2 fluency) to align with stakeholders, document processes, and present technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on Golang in production environments.
- Proven expertise in designing and deploying microservices architectures at scale.
- Extensive experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, SQS, SNS) and cloud-native development.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration in AWS environments.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus) and logging frameworks.
- Native Spanish speaker with B2-level English fluency (written and verbal), demonstrated through technical discussions and documentation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and driving technical initiatives.
- Proven experience leveraging AI-driven development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Tabnine) to automate routine coding tasks, accelerate feature delivery, and enhance code quality.
