We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Supervisor who is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese to join our team and serve as a key communication bridge between local staff and Chinese-speaking leadership.
Job Summary:
The HR Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing core human resources functions including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, training and development, and personnel administration. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is essential, as the role requires daily interaction with Chinese stakeholders and the ability to support HR processes in a bilingual and multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end payroll processing.
Coordinate recruitment processes for operational and administrative roles.
Oversee onboarding and offboarding procedures.
Administer employee records, contracts, and compliance with local labor laws.
Act as primary HR liaison between Chinese-speaking leadership and local workforce.
Translate HR documentation and assist in cross-cultural communication as needed.
Develop and implement training and development plans.
Foster a positive work environment and address employee relations matters.
Ensure alignment with corporate HR policies and procedures.
Assist in setting up HR systems and processes during the plant startup phase.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience in HR roles within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of Mexican labor law and IMSS processes.
Proven experience in payroll, recruitment, and employee management.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (both oral and written) — this is a must-have.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Experience in a startup or plant launch environment is a strong plus.
