Job Title: Facility Manager
Department: Operations
Position Summary:
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the distribution center, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and flow of goods across the logistics network. The role focuses on optimizing operational processes, maintaining high service standards, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the distribution center's operational staff, participating in recruitment, onboarding, and talent development to build a strong and efficient team.
Promote a positive work culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and goal achievement.
Ensure employees receive the necessary training to perform their duties effectively and on time.
Organize regular team meetings to align goals, share information, and encourage teamwork.
Oversee receiving, put-away, inventory control, cycle counting, and inbound management processes.
Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring on-time delivery commitments are met.
Organize and prioritize workloads based on logistics schedules and customer requirements.
Collaborate with production and supply chain areas to maintain continuous material flow.
Ensure compliance with procedures for handling, verifying, and documenting inbound and outbound goods.
Prepare accurate and timely operational reports to track performance and recommend improvements.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with carriers, seeking opportunities to optimize costs and service performance.
Lead workplace safety initiatives, deliver training sessions, and promote a proactive safety culture.
Follow up on customer needs and participate in issue resolution when required (occasional travel may be needed).
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement actions to enhance operations and customer experience.
Requirements:

Education and Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management for medium to large-scale operations.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience leading operational teams in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, and logistics coordination.
