Key Responsibilities
You will share ownership of the health and operations in the build, packaging, and testing infrastructure supporting the development of GoldenGate Product Suite.
This position requires you to be an independent self-driven contributor and at the same time work with a globally dispersed team. Collaboration with individuals from other teams is essential for success in this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related, plus 8 years related experience or Master's degree in Computer Science or related, plus 6 years related experience.

Responsibilities
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Develop and enhance installation process for GoldenGate product suite supporting multiple OS and Database platforms.
Analyze Oracle GoldenGate Build processes to deliver significant improvements from current framework.
Create or Identify opportunities for automation of operational build and release engineering tasks and instrument the automation in collaboration with stakeholders.
Build Third Party binaries from Third Party Source code on various Unix ports and Windows.
Triage and debug runtime errors/issues in the software from:
Ongoing development merges during release cycles.
Introduction of new Third Party binaries.
Integrate existing tools to provide and analyze security reports on third party libraries.
Identify and utilize opportunities to collaborate and enhance productivity of developers and QA teams and improving release cycles.
Leverage available AI and other tools to advance build and release engineering processes.
Enhance and automate patch build and delivery process with focus on reliability and efficiency.
Lead projects, collaborate and mentor other members of the team as required.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Key Responsibilities
You will share ownership of the health and operations in the build, packaging, and testing infrastructure supporting the development of GoldenGate Product Suite.
- You will own improvements to Oracle Golden Gate installation, build and release processes.
- You will own critical automation improvements to improve reliability and efficiency of build and release processes and supporting infrastructure components. This will require you to develop new installation processes or maintain existing production installer processes.
- Additionally you will be chartered with improving the overall build framework and monitor existing build processes and improve turnaround time by making code changes yourself or in collaboration with other developers.
- You will investigate, debug, diagnose and resolve runtime product build issues impacting day to day operations across various porting platforms.
This position requires you to be an independent self-driven contributor and at the same time work with a globally dispersed team. Collaboration with individuals from other teams is essential for success in this position.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related, plus 8 years related experience or Master's degree in Computer Science or related, plus 6 years related experience.
- Proficiency with build script tools and environment.
- Experience in automation of building/packaging processes.
- Experience with Linux including proficiency in GNU make, CMake, Python, and Perl.
- Experience with writing Bash scripts.
- Experience building open source software using GNU autotools.
- Experience with CI/CD technology, including TeamCity or Jenkins
- Experience with GIT source control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written communication skills, including email and documentation.
Experience and Skills that will help you succeed
- Experience debugging build issues in systems developed using C/C++ and Java.
- Experience with Windows and UNIX-like operating systmes (i.e., Linux).
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
- Prior experience with installer processes and tools.
- Technical strength as well as leadership.
- Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies with short dev cycles.
