Westhill Institute is seeking a passionate and qualified Elementary French Teacher to join our dynamic international school community. As part of our commitment to multilingualism and international-mindedness, we are looking for a local educator who is enthusiastic about language acquisition and dedicated to supporting students on their journey to becoming confident French speakers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging French language lessons for elementary students in alignment with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students with varying language backgrounds.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and language levels.
• Collaborate with homeroom and specialist teachers to integrate French into transdisciplinary units where appropriate.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student development and progress.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Languages, or a related field.
• Native or near-native proficiency in French.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with children, ideally in a school setting.
• Knowledge of the IB MYP is an asset but not a requirement (training can be provided).
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
