Job Description

This position is an integral part of the supply management team working closely with Site Leaders, Commodity Leaders, Region Material Leaders and buyers to maximize the effectiveness, compliance, and management of the Strategic and tactical Sourcing function. The role will drive strategic direction, ensuring alignment cross functionally within the Honeywell Matrix structure. Candidate will drive and implement process improvements, system enhancements and continue to lead / improve productivity and efficiency within this function.

Goals - Drive key metrics including OTTR, working capital, productivity and Supply base optimization
Achieve agreed metric / goals for site with Sourcing leader

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Process requisitions, place purchase orders, expedite and track orders in support of Procurement and Operations
• Maintain ERP material data as directed by Strategic Sourcing.
• Maintain and assure current order status information to keep supplier on-time to request info valid.
• Effectively expedite orders to prevent line down situations and air transportation costs.
• Manage rescheduling of direct materials as required
• Resolve all invoice holds in a timely manner to prevent credit holds.
• Manage complaints to suppliers (delivery issues and/or quality)
• Interfacing with Global Commodity Manager and aligning site strategy with Global Commodity Strategies
• Supporting Honeywell Smart Energy (SME) objectives on Cost reduction, Supply Chain Lead time reduction, working capital, and quality and delivery improvement.
• Support in-sourcing and out-sourcing strategies
• Manage and execute supplier and operational issues, including but not limited to engineering change management, contract maintenance, parts availability, quality and launch support.
• Use Honeywell tools and processes to drive fact based decision making.
• Escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues.
• Ensure selected supply base is meeting SME initiatives for cycle time reduction, productivity, quality and delivery.
• Communicate any Transitions to the factory and receive buy-in for implementation timeline.
• Responsible for achieving business objectives: productivity, defect reduction, lead-time reduction, on-time delivery, and new supplier launches.

Qualifications

Must Have

• Bachelor's In Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or Operations
• 2 to 5 years of Procurement experience
• English communication skills written and spoken

WE VALUE

• CPIM and/or CPM certification desired.
• Minimum 1 year experience on Supplier VMI and productivity saving contracts.
• SAP Material Planning experience
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification desired.
