Maintenance Automation Engineer
Purpose:
A Maintenance Automation Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, operation and data analysis of several automated lines.
Follow up to TPM activities and metrics.
Responsibilities
Equipment down time analysis and improvement.
Schedules and execute the weekly or monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM).
Procures and expedites parts and materials for maintenance department by coordinating with purchasing, suppliers, and requesters.
Analyzes equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.
Executes Root Cause and Reliability Analysis for ongoing corrective action tracking and implementation.
Read, analyze and diagnose issues by utilizing several controls related programs such as, PLC's,
Motion, and other software based equipment.
Performs PLC, HMI, Drivers and Robot Backups.
Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are met.
Work collaboratively with other departments to provide the best solutions based upon statistical analysis.
Participates in various improvement projects.

Maintenance Automation Engineer

Procures and expedites parts and materials for maintenance department by coordinating with purchasing, suppliers, and requesters.
- Performs spare parts management.
- Develops and maintains records for equipment down time and parts replacement.
- Implements T PM Planned Maintenance.
- Contributes to the Continuous Improvement of automated equipment.
- Conducts the technician cross training and the new come-in technician training.
- Administrates technician over-time control.
Analyzes equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.

- Pneumatic Skills
Skills & Knowledge
- Bachelor Degree, Mechatronic or related.
- Broad knowledge and experience with automated equipment. Demonstrated knowledge on technical field.
- Project team membership and proven leadership experience.
- Knowledge with lean tools to analyze processes and improve manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge in scheduling and performing maintenance procedures.
- Be able to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic drawings.
- Demonstrated experience in PLC and HMI (Allen-Bradley, Omron). Be able to read and interpret.
- Knowledge and experience with Industrial Robots (Epson, Motoman).
- Knowledge of motor drivers, analog and digital (PowerFlex, Emerson, etc.). Electrical connection and parameter setup.
- Knowledge of motors and vacuum pumps, electrical and mechanical.
- Knowledge of mechanisms and its moving parts (materials, properties, part numbers of bearings, shafts, gears, bushings, sprockets, bands, transmissions, conveyors).
- General knowledge of mechanical design and software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.)
