Vesuvius is seeking an experienced Group Internal Audit Leader to join our global Internal Audit team, with a focus on leading and delivering audit engagements across the NAFTA and LATAM regions. This role is pivotal in driving assurance and adding value to our operations by identifying and mitigating key risks across the business.

The successful candidate will report to the Group Head of Internal Audit and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and global colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for an audit professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Audit Engagement

• Lead risk-based audit engagements from planning to reporting, using data analytics and process mapping.
• Deliver high-quality audit reports with insightful, pragmatic recommendations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and assess the severity and business impact of findings.
• Manage audit timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder communications.
• Monitor and follow up on management action plans.
• Support enhancement of the company's governance, risk, and control framework.
• Contribute to the development of the annual internal audit plan.
• Participate in departmental initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

Teamwork & Collaboration

• Collaborate with regional and global audit colleagues to identify business risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Act as a liaison between NAFTA/LATAM operations and the wider Internal Audit team to ensure smooth information flow and regional alignment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Accounting or Internal Audit certifications are a plus.

Experience

• 8–10 years of professional experience in internal auditing.
• Proven experience in risk-based audits of operational, administrative, and finance processes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with the ability to influence at all levels.
