Objective of the position:
Provide project leadership skills to plan and implement all coatings related Capital and Product projects, and Process and Quality improvements by leading cross functions teams and coordinating their efforts without impacting plant operations. Work closely with Suppliers and Plan Engineers to implement Coatings, Adhesive and Sealant related product change-overs. Design processes, specify. Procure and implement equipment to meet Engineering specifications, improve quality and reduce environmental impact of Coatings processes. Supervise, manage and mentor junior Coatings Engineers.

Description of activities:
-Lead and Manage all aspects of a project including generating specifications, vendor capability analysis and selection, developing and tracking budgets, leading cross functional teams to ensure timely project completion
-Lead in planning and implementing new coatings related processes to improve paint quality and efficency
-Conduct trials and implement Adhesives/ sealant materials that best meets Engineering specifications
-Identify and lead projects aimed at improving paint processes, reducing paint usage, reducing energy consumption and VoC emissions
-Represent Coatings group in new product projects Lead capital investment planning for future projects Supervise, direct activities and mentor junior Coatings Engineers
