Position Overview:
Terra Energy is seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. You will play a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture while helping to ensure that HR processes align with the company's strategic goals.
As an HR Generalist, you will be a trusted partner to both leadership and employees, working collaboratively to address HR challenges and contribute to Terra Energy's success. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR principles and a passion for driving organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
Work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure the right talent is recruited to meet company objectives.
Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new employees have a smooth and engaging transition into the company.
Employee Relations:
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues related to company policies, benefits, and day-to-day operations.
Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, managing conflict, and promoting employee engagement.
Compensation & Benefits Administration:
Ensure a seamless processing and administration of the payroll system.
Support the management of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
Educate employees about benefits options and assist with any questions or issues related to enrollment, claims, and coverage.
HR Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including new hires, terminations, and personnel changes.
Assist with audits and reporting, ensuring HR practices meet legal and regulatory requirements.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention, including conducting surveys, focus groups, and implementing feedback-based improvements.
Partner with managers to develop and implement strategies for improving employee satisfaction and reducing turnover.
HR Systems & Reporting:
Utilize HR systems to maintain employee data, track performance, and generate reports on HR metrics.
Assist in the collection and analysis of HR data to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in a human resources role, ideally as an HR Generalist or in a similar capacity.
Experience with employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and benefits administration.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) platforms (experience with systems like ADP Workforce Now, or similar is a plus).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive HR issues with professionalism and discretion.
