Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting:
Perform or oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, human resources, and payroll.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures ensuring compliance with applicable standards and consistency across entities.
Provide accurate financial visibility, reporting, and insights to leadership for effective decision-making and forecasting.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Establish and enforce internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial processes, safeguard assets, and reduce risk.
Recommend improvements in internal processes and standards as necessary.
Manage compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including sales and payroll tax filings across jurisdictions.
Implement checks and balances for expense management, credit card usage, and reimbursement processes.
Operational Partnership and Scalability Support:
Collaborate closely with the COO to align financial operations with efficiency and business scalability goals.
Recommend and implement financial systems, tools, and automation improvements to support organizational growth and minimize manual processes.
Act as a financial liaison across departments, translating financial data into clear operational insights.
