Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a PCBA Process and Test Engineer in our Raleigh, North Carolina, Franklin, Tennessee, or Apodaca, Nuevo León location.
The role covers complete PCBA process and test from PCB selection to end of line tester qualification and hand off to Operations partners as the new product development project is closed.

What do you get to do in this position?
Design PCB assembly process including ICT and functional test.
Assure compliance to Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test guidelines in the products designs being implemented through early involvement in development process
Estimate resources and expenses for PCBA and test equipment development
Develop PCBA process and equipment qualification plans
Hands on supervision of manufacturing verification and pilot runs of development products at Schneider Electric contract manufacturers. Work with equipment manufacturers to design and build the testers
Assist Development Engineering as required in the construction of electronic product prototypes and models.
Maintain a close working relationship with Product Development Groups and Test Engineering Groups to assure consistency of test methods, and completeness of test coverage.
Supply support to the Development Engineering Group as necessary to assure that products under development meet reliability, quality, availability, and cost targets.
Create, maintain, and keep current all technical documentation
Actively participate in solving of manufacturing / quality issues for existing products
Stay current on developing trends in industry regarding processes, methods, and competencies for PCBA process and testing

This job might be for you if you have:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
5+ years of hands on experience in PCBA process and end of assembly line tester development
Solid electronic circuit knowledge: digital, analog, power and high voltage
Experience using measurement, metrology and wave capture equipment
Ability to understand and develop test strategies for electrical and electronic products designed for use in industrial controls and distribution equipment.
Experience designing processes with wave, SMT, laser soldering (preferred)
Experience with ICT including flying probe
Exposure to various test equipment architectures (VXI, PXI, Rack and Stack, etc)
Experience in developing systems for manufacturing
