What we offer:
MCE 2 candidates typically have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Mechatronics engineering or related role in material handling or related industry. Employees to be based in Monterrey, N.L., however, must be willing to travel up to 90% to customer locations in the USA.
The engineer will have multiple responsibilities using prescribed guidelines and policies which are to be completed previous traveling to site, which include but is not limited to:
Review & report feedback of site readiness Audits (commissioning checklist/instructions).
Review & report feedback of Drawing Sets and Commissioning Checkbook, which may include:
Checkout sheets
Description of Operations
Commissioning Procedure
Application Guides
Order Entries
Review Programming Tools:
Laptop with Software (Siemens/Allen Bradley, Maestro, Tooling software).
Attend meetings before travel with site lead/project manager.
Review Commissioning plan and Schedule.
Create travel authorization and book travel plans.
The engineer will have multiple on-site administrative responsibilities, using prescribed guidelines and policies which include, but are not limited to:
Attend daily planning/safety meetings.
Contact manager and project lead while on site.
Compile information into detailed technical reports.
Report and follow up any issues to manager/lead.
Follow punch list and update accordingly.
Create action items in punch list.
Submits accurate and timely reports of travel expenses, hours worked, and commissioning activities.
Report & track on safety issues during field operation.
Report performance feedback on engineering peers.
Participate on continuous improvement initiatives.
Share technical knowledge with engineering peers.
Coordinate with field engineering teams, mechanical & controls, for project execution.
Engineer must have conceptual knowledge of the guidelines of the project execution, including not limited to:
Documents with specification to archive project turnover.
Project risks & mitigations.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What We Are Looking For:
o BS/BA in electrical engineering or advanced degree.
o 2-4 years of successful experience in related field.
o Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
o Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
o Proficient in AutoCAD.
o Proficient in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.
o Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.
o Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus.
General Skills:
o Tests and bring systems into an operational state.
o Ability to work on individually and small/large teams from different regions.
o Document Job Activities through written reports.
o Flexibility to travel to multiple projects depending on projects schedules.
o Share knowledge and best practices with Engineering Peers.
o Maintain the administrative responsibilities along with site responsibilities in order.
