About the role

Seasoned Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility. May manage Quality Engineering processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence the development, modification, application, and maintenance, or quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive supplier excellence performance for assigned suppliers on behalf of the empresa.
• Supplier manufacturing quality – drive implementation of product certification (Pro-Cert) and quality improvements at key suppliers (may be assigned specific commodities).
• Provide on-site guidance and coaching to key suppliers to drive improvements in performance and champion on-site Supplier Quality Audits and Process Audits.
• Design for manufacturing improvements on future products.
• Support the manufacturing plants of the empresa in improving PPAP completion/readiness.
• Work with suppliers to improve warranty.
• Act as a coach/facilitator for supplier quality improvement events and teaching quality tools.
• Attain business objectives for quality, warranty spend, SPPM, FPY and safety.
• Serve as quality expert in support of quality/compliance investigations, as required with the supplier base.

Requirements

• Direct experience in quality, manufacturing, and engineering, applying quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, Supplier Audits (similar to CQS, ISO/IATF), SPC, MSA, DoE, and RRCA tools to drive zero-defect quality (3–6 years of experience).
• BA/BS degree with 5–8 years of experience.
• Degree in a technical discipline, such as Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills (8D, Look Across skills).
• Excellent project management skills and comfortable communicating at all levels of management and with external customers and suppliers.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
• Bilingual.
• Approximately 30% travel required (as needed).
• Must have a VISA and passport.
• MA/MS degree is a plus but not required.
