Founded in Germany in 1967 as a joint venture of Robert Bosch GmbH (Stuttgart) and Siemens AG (Munich), BSH has been 100% owned by the Bosch Group since January 2015.

Job Description

As Automation and Control Engineer you:

• Manage software and backups up to date
• Develop main machine programming sequence (PLC Siemens S5-S7, Tia Portal, HMI, Vision systems, Servos, etc.)
• Participate and lead Machine Design Reviews for internal and external builds
• Responsible for electrical & controls architecture of new assembly equipment
• Work across with other facilities and supplier
• Find solutions to complex issues
• Active participation in continuous improvement projects
• Keep equipment operating and improve equipment uptime by performing periodic audits
• Identify and implement error proofing requirements throughout the production process
• Ensure that you stay up to date on controls technology
• Stay compliant with training required for position
• Program modification to fix or improve process machinery issues
• Plan to improve machine availability to ensure proper control functionality
• Machine function is working according to local safety regulations
• Individual contributor, no direct responsibility for leading others
• Come to agreement by managing communications through discussions and compromise. Issues are short-term operational, medium-term tactical or limited strategic nature

Qualifications

• Electronic, Automation Engineering Degree
• Availability to travel (Europe/Asia)
• Passport and US Visa
• WIN CC Tia Portal
• Siemens S5-S7
• Allen Bradley PLC & Factory Talk
• Vision Systems
• Servo Programming
