We are looking for Production Planning Specialists at both Junior and Team Leader levels, with experience managing complex supply chains and a strong focus on continuous improvement. This is a 100% remote position, supporting North American operations. You will play a key role in ensuring product availability, operational efficiency, and alignment between production, demand, and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the supply plan for packaged goods, optimizing inventory levels, availability, and associated costs (logistics and production).
- Execute inventory strategies and policies as defined by Network and Inventory Planning teams.
- Prepare Rough-Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP) 4 weeks in advance and weekly execution plans considering:
- Machine and labor capacity
- Raw material availability
- Ensure a balanced demand-supply outlook within the RCCP horizon through coordination with:
- Customer Service (demand)
- Site planners and schedulers (supply)
- Provide inventory and capacity insights to support the Management Business Review (MBR) and S&OP/IBP processes.
- Ensure alignment between packaging supply capabilities and market service level expectations (SLAs).
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in:
- Finished goods service level
- OTIF (On Time In Full) from plants
- Productivity and operational performance
- Inventory management and obsolete reduction
- Serve as the primary point of contact for finished goods supply-related topics.
- Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Customer Service.
- Troubleshoot delays, shortages, and quality issues, and adjust plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in production planning or supply chain.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Experience with SAP (preferably in Procurement and Planning modules).
- Familiarity with advanced planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, JDA/BlueYonder) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is desirable.
- Ability to operate in a regional/multinational environment.
- Strong analytical skills and system proficiency.
- Advanced English and Spanish (oral and written) is REQUIRED.
