Position Purpose

Reporting Relationships
- Reports to Program Director
- Roles reporting to position Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor Trainee, Logistics Coordinator
- Approximate number of reports 3-6
Essential Functions
- Develop the project scope-of-work, milestones, and detailed timeline and budget and track these accurately, updating the necessary tracking systems e.g. Salesforce, MS Project.
- In cooperation with the Program Director, oversee implementing the project whilst adhering to approved timeline and budget constraints.
- Establish and develop clear work and safety practices for the project and communicate these with site teams (Construction Site Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Site Supervisor Trainees, Masons and Team Leaders.)
- Supports the Program Director in the development, implementation, and review of the Health, Safety and Security procedures for base and sites.
- Recruit and train team members to ensure compliance with project standards in safety and work quality.
- When applicable, establish assessment criteria and manage and support the project team to carry out assessments and beneficiary selection processes to identify and implement additional projects.
- Continuously develop and evaluate the project scope, quality and impact, through a meaningful monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Provide supportive leadership, manage a diverse staff team, volunteers and local staff and empower them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently.
- Manage and support Logistics Coordinator to implement efficient procurement processes for the project sites.
- Oversee the process of hiring and vetting subcontractors and construction suppliers.
- Compile weekly and fortnightly progress reports for the Program Director.
- Oversee and lead the training of the Site Supervisors, Site Supervisor Trainees and the Mason Training Program.
- Support the Community Coordinator in the development and implementation of renewal projects.
- Financial responsibilities include the construction budget; project labor, pre-construction budget, tools and equipment and materials.
- We understand vaccination is the best way to protect our beneficiaries, community members, staff and volunteers. Therefore, we require all staff members working in in-person environments (including program staff, office staff, team meetings and program visits) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Subject to applicable guidance, the term fully vaccinated currently refers to when an individual has received all recommended Covid-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible.
- Perform other duties as required.
Position Requirements
- Education Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required Architect, civil engineering or structural engineering degree preferred.
- Related Experience 2+years experience working in a disaster response context, preferably with All Hands and Hearts. 1+ years of experience in a construction or technical role with project management responsibilities, including budget tracking and reporting. 1+ years experience managing teams.
- Special Competencies/Certifications Fluency in at least one language/dialect used in the region of the project is preferable.. Good written and oral communication skills (in English) and confident working with Google Workspace, Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets. Must be confident working with design software such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, specifically including MS Project. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with international humanitarian standards including Sphere and HAP. Must have a valid driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate is $1,550-$2,050 USD/ month, based on position, skills and experience
