Primary Purpose of the Position

The main purpose is to serve Ball Corporation and support Ball Global Shared Services through the (BBES) Ball Business Excellence System to drive a Culture of Excellence and improve the end-to-end business processes and systems.

The Business Excellence Analyst will support Ball Corporation and Ball Global Shared Services by leading low to medium-complexity Lean improvement and technology development initiatives.

What will you be responsible for?

• Acts as a Citizen Developer and technology enabler of the Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement initiatives .
• Manages and concludes Quick Wins and Kaizens aimed to improve processes while completing all the required deliverables and following the continuous improvement processes .
• Develop low to medium-complexity technological solutions in MS Excel, MS Power Automate, MS Power Apps, Ui Path, and SharePoint to improve processes.
• Delivers economic benefits through the completion of low to medium-complexity Quick Win and Kaizen projects.
• Partners with the Business Excellence Specialists to establish key metrics and improve processes.
• Provide advice to other Citizen Developers regarding development best practices and troubleshooting .
• Coaches and trains White Belts in basic Lean tools usage.
• Delivers outstanding written and oral communication to understand stakeholder needs, and solve low to medium complexity problems.
• Performs effective and efficient root cause analysis to establish containment, preventive, corrective , and predictive actions to eliminate defects occurrence.
• Analyzes customer satisfaction results and leads related improvement initiatives.
• Makes use of soft skills to lead workshops that use Lean and Agile tools while interacting with entry-level to mid-level employees in diverse locations and cultures.
• Identifies and supports low to medium-complexity Business E xcellence and Continuous Improvement needs at centers through strong collaboration and productive work relationships.
• Influences the environment to sustain a steady flow of successful continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understand and promote the BBES (Ball Business Excellence System) within the GSS and Ball.
• Identifies opportunities for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and supports the RPA team with process documentation/assessment if needed.
• Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with GSS teams and our business partners at the Corporate Headquarters and in the Operating Divisions. Includes the ability to handle stress and interact with others to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.
• Works independently while managing multiple priorities in a global environment; interacting with and influencing employees.

What are we looking for?

• Broad training in a related field usually acquired through a college level education or work-related experience

• Job-related experience for 3+ years (s) minimum
• Certifications/Licenses/Other: Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
• Advanced level of MS Excel, including VBA.
• Intermediate level of Power Automate and Power Apps (Automation)

• Intermediate level of Ui Path or Winshuttle (RPA)
• Intermediate level of MS SharePoint.
• Intermediate level of MS PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

• Collaborative team player, and operational and execution skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and to take action on it.
• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to apply time management skills including prioritization and expectation management to accomplish all tasks in an acceptable timeframe.
• Is innovative, demonstrates excellence, influences others, and understands that people are the most valuable resource.

• Ability to manage complex tasks with limited direction and limited time schedules.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

• Desired intermediate level of LucidChart and LucidSpark (Charting and whiteboarding)
• Desired experience with BI tools: Tableau, QlikSense, PowerBI, etc.
