MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot product design related concerns in manufacturing and direct the corrective actions to address those concerns.
• Creates and updates 3D models, drawings, and related standards for the development of new products and/or maintenance of existing products.
• Reviews existing documentation to ensures the quality and the clarity of existing engineering documentation.
• Works with engineers to develop component specifications to optimize purchasing opportunities and evaluates alternate parts offered by purchasing and its vendors
• Performs stack up and tolerance analysis to ensure design intentions are met and design for manufacturability principles are adhered to
• May work directly with suppliers to provide technical expertise to assist with questions and problem resolution
• May travel domestically and internationally on occasion as needed
• Other engineering related duties as assigned by department manager.

• Mark up existing drawings, bills of materials, and item master information to make changes.
• Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems. Must be self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
