Job Description

As an Automatic Engineer, you will develop, implement, and maintain methods, sequences of operations, and processes in manufacturing or fabricating parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You will interact with design engineering to coordinate the launch of new products. You will estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines. You will maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

JOB DUTIES:

• Develop and maintain the initiatives and activities of the Resideo Operating System (ROS) in all its phases
• Develop and keep updated the standard work that corresponds to him and supervise that of his subordinates
• Participate interactively in the daily monitoring meetings at the different levels in the production and engineering area, motivating staff participation at all levels.
• Apply, implement and monitor the Resideo Operating System tools, such as the Solution Quick Guide, 5S, VSM, VM, etc
• In charge of the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of manufacturing equipment and systems changes, based on site requirements and priorities.
• Resources management of manufacturing systems, through production methods improvement.
• Participation in the activities of Safety and Hygiene, developing investigations of incidents or accidents, and resolving the situations that arise. Respond to Corrective Actions within the limits established by the site.
• Optimize manufacturing processes through improvements involving available resources (human, technological, materials, etc) to reduce operating costs and enhance efficiency.
• Manage and communicate with local suppliers that provide services and/or spare parts that meet the specifications of the manufacturers of the different equipment and machinery of the site.
• Develop team relocation analysis plans to improve the material flow and capacity of each area of production.
• Develop plans to efficiently and safely relocate equipment and layout changes.
• Develop plans that assist in the successful introduction of New Products.
• Participate in the documentation and activities to achieve ISO 9000:2005 certification.
• Develop plans that ensure the monitoring of security measures for both the staff and the team.
• Responsible for ensuring the material resources for the development of the tasks, activities, and projects of the staff under the position.
• Plan and organize the transfer of knowledge, enhance learning and promote start training under his charge.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electronics, Electromechanics or related)
• Experience in a similar position for at least 2 years
• Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes for electronic products such as:
  • Automation through: PLC (Allen Bradley), intermediate level
  • Fanuc and UR robots
  • Cognex and Keyence Vision Systems
  • Proface, PanelView HMI programming
  • Programming language .net, SQL, Web App
  • Project management: Budgets, suppliers, work team management
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Data Analysis
• Process and equipment Integrations
• Advanced English communications skills
• At least 2 years of Team management experience
